Athena Reich

Athena Reich has released her 5th CD, LITTLE GIRL DREAMS, with Emmy/Grammy winning producer Cynthia Daniels. Her video LOVE IS LOVE can be seen on MTV’s LOGO and Canada’s MUCH MUSIC. She has been featured on Fox Business News, The Food Network, as a regular on 103.9 Proud FM and has shared the stage with Jim Carrey & Sarah Mclachlan. Along with MNMP, Athena taught songwriting to children with Lisa Loeb, and the experience was turned into a documentary that premiered at Tribeca Cinemas. She is also an actress with numerous TV, film & Off-Broadway credits. As a teacher, Athena has worked in numerous schools, organizations, and colleges across North America, including Oregon State University, Montcalm College, Manhattan New Music Project, TADA!, and Lincoln Center. She also teaches privately (voice, piano, guitar, acting & songwriting), and facilitates workshops to students and teachers on topics ranging from “Creating Original Musical Theater”, to “Storytelling”, to “Songwriting”. At the Manhattan New Music Project, she writes curriculum and conducts arts workshops for multi-year, citywide professional development programs that serve teachers of special education, ESL, and general education populations.
