MNMP looking for partners and investors into its educational and artistic programming.

The Manhattan New Music Project makes the arts accessible to everyone through educational programming, a creators platform and public arts events. MNMP is looking for investors who share our vision that all communities need accessible high quality arts education and performances. Investors can provide broad or targeted support to our activities, by adopting individual programs or partners of MNMP.

We are currently looking to:

  1. increase arts education for special needs students educated at home through MNMP’s Bring the Arts Home Program by training home teachers how to infuse the arts and creative inquiry into their everyday work and by providing musical instruments and arts supplies for these teachers to use in their daily education work.
  2. Help rebuild arts education for students in New Orleans public schools through MNMP’s Crescent City Creators Program, providing musical instruments, arts supplies, professional training for arts teachers and classroom projects for returning students.
  3. Expand professional development for arts teachers around New York City’s Public School system by expanding our current Creative and Integrative Arts Educators Program and the Creative Music Educators Program, programs that train classroom and arts teachers how to compose music and  produce fully student-created musical theater productions with students in grades K-12 both in Special Education and General Education settings.
  4. Expand professional development and classroom services in music, dance, drama, theater and creative writing, around New York City’s public schools and other communities in the Tri-State area.
  5. Expand our Creators Platform by offering grants to commission and showcase new and ground breaking works by living creators in the United States.
  6. Expand our Public Art Performance Series by increasing the number and reach of performances by the Manhattan New Music Project around the city and the United StatesPerform our late founding director Paul Nash’s last two recordings, Avant Noir and Jazz Cycles by sending our performing ensemble under the leadership of trumpeter Jack Walrath on a national tour.
